Tornado touchdown in Litchfield County, tornado watch for parts of CT – WTNH.com

A Tornado Watch is in effect for most of the state Sunday until 10 P.M. However, a Tornado Warning has been issued for the northwestern corner of Connecticut until 7 p.m.

Conn. (WTNH) — A tornado touchdown was confirmed by the National Weather Service in Litchfield County Sunday night. Residents in the northwest corner of Connecticut saw substantial storm damage after the winds died down.
A Tornado Watch was in effect for most of the state Sunday, which turned into a Tornado Warning for Litchfield County. The National Weather Service reported a “radar-indicated rotation” in the northwest corner of CT Sunday evening, and by 8:30 p.m. a touchdown was confirmed.
