Michigan reported 1,601 new coronavirus cases Saturday, Jan. 23, continuing a downward trend in daily case numbers.
The new cases marked the lowest daily total since Oct. 21, when new cases registered 1,597.
Officials with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 221 coronavirus deaths Saturday, but said 205 were late additions from a routine review of death certificates across the state.
